Social implications
Fondation du Cégep de Valleyfield - Les génies d'ici Campaign
We are acting as a Platinum partner in the Fondation du Cégep de Valleyfield’s fundraising campaign, which supports investments to welcome the Civil Engineering Technology program and improve the facilities for the Mechanical Engineering Technology and Electrical Engineering Technology programs.
Alexis Véronneau, our vice-président, Vice-President Corporate Services Partner – and Cégep alumni –, also sits on the campaign’s board.
Défi FRAS - Fondation des Ressources Alternatives du Sud-Ouest
We participate annually in the Corporate Challenge of the Défi FRAS.
All profits raised will be used to support community organizations in the area that serve or are involved with autistic individuals or those with intellectual disabilities.
Scholarships in collaboration with the Cégep de Valleyfield
Every year, we award the SGM bursary as part of the Cégep de Valleyfield’s Electrical Engineering bursary program.
This bursary is awarded to a 1st-year student who has demonstrated an interest and aptitude for electricity.
Smile Cookies - Fondation de l'Hôpital du Suroît
Every year, we’re pleased to support the Fondation de l’Hôpital du Suroît’s Biscuit Sourire initiative in support of our children’s mental health!
Kars4Kids
We donate our end-of-life vehicles to Kars4Kids. The organization auctions off or recycles the parts.
The money raised benefits the well-being of children, notably through a range of mentoring and educational programs.
Mira
We subscribe to the Mira Foundation’s printer cartridge recovery program.
In addition to being good for the environment, since the organization recovers the cartridges and sells them to recyclers, this initiative enables Mira to raise funds to pursue its mission of providing free guide dogs and assistance dogs to people with visual or motor impairments, as well as to young people with autism spectrum disorders.
